For optimal use, Revol recommends preheating your small cocotte. Fill one-third of the cookware with water and bring to a boil, then drain and start cooking. Gradually increase the heat while making sure you never overheat the cocotte. Use a microwave to speed the defrost time of frozen food in your ceramic cocotte. Do not plunge your hot cookware into water; wait for it to cool to room temperature. The Revolution dish is dishwasher-safe, but if washing the cocotte by hand, use a soft sponge or soft cloth to help protect the cooking surface.
